Movies that are worth considerably more than their subsequent DVD or other later format releases

I figure this is an appropriate topic given the one on films never released on DVD.

The biggest gap in value of any film that I can think of for this topic is Eraserhead, there was only one VHS release and it was over 30 years ago.  Even cut box versions go for more than $60, complete ones well over $100, yet you can get a new DVD for $20-$25 and used for less.

Of course final VHS releases command a huge premium over their relatively common DVDs, like Cars or History of Violence.

Individual Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th VHS tapes go for $5-$20, when you can get the complete DVD boxsets for $20-$30.

I welcome more additions and discussion on this topic.

Apparently people (myself included) will pay extra for 2005-06 releases...

Useful note:

The Fog 2005, Darkness, Cursed, and Wedding Crashers were only available on VHS through the unrated cut, the theatrical cuts of all four films are exclusive to the Widescreen DVD and/or Blu-Ray releases...

Cronk's New Goove goes for $20-25 on VHS... for comparison, I picked up the dvd at the flea market for $1. Same thing for The Incredibles, Mulan II, Bambi II, etc. Personally I yhink the abundance of counterfeit dvd dilutes their price online, especially on Ebay where you are just as likely to get a fake as the real thing. It makes people wary of buying them.

Roll Bounce seems to be a hard to find tape, as the cheapest copy I've found was $16

Devil's Rejects also seems to sell for good money...
