I have a workprint bootleg of Scary Movie that's going to be in the database soon. One of my prized possessions, actually. I also have a bootleg copy of Exit Wounds. Song of the South is another one, you can look up the openings and closings on YouTube. It's the one sourced from the Japanese laserdisc. The Star Wars Holiday Special.

I have recorded copies of Blank Check, Josh and SAM, Father Hood and Penitentiary 3, the duplicated slipcases seal the deal, but I wouldn't consider them bootlegs, probably just recorded for personal use, P3 was donated to a thrift store (St. Vinnies, circa 2010). The other three, however, got them through the great Craiglist haul of 09.

I have All About the Benjamins which is recorded from the theater, and I also have Ali, Ring of the Musketeers and Dead Awake which are ripped from the real thing...other than that no.

I've got two that I can think of. Proud Rebel, which might not be a bootleg, but the classification rating probably isn't displayed prominently enough to be legal in Australia, and the tape runs out a few minutes before the end of the movie! Also Monty Python's Flying Circus Volume 3, which is recorded from a DVD (the menu is visible at the end) and the sound drops out frequently with little respect for punch lines.

Bootleg videos: Fun to collect, hell to watch.

Australian copyright did/does (it's complicated) expire earlier than in the US, so there are bootleg-like releases of out-of-copyright works around as well. I uploaded a few which are waiting to be processed.

Are bootleg releases suitable for submission to the database? - bearing in mind that the covers might just be photocopies of real ones.

I have two Grateful Dead bootlegs...

One is a collection of photage from three seperate tv shows; SNL 11-11-78, SNL 4-5-80 and Tomorrow with Tom Snyder 5-7-81  plus an interview on an unlabeled green cassette.

And the other is titled Veneta, Oregon 8/27/72 which contains well known photage from said show, plus it has two 1967 films; Robert Nelson and Hippie Temptation.

I have two bootlegs. Both of them are theater recorded, which are Blade (New Line error), and American Outlaws (MCA/Universal error, has AIWA logo at the start).
