Pioneer DVL-919

I picked up a Pioneer DVL-919 laserdisc/dvd player in great shape at a flea market for $10. Also grabbed a JVC HR-S2902U S-VHS player for $15. I don't know if the VCR is a good model or not, but it can't be worse than the crappy Zenith I've been using. I even got a universal remote programmed to operate the VCR.

JVC SVHS decks are what I have been exclusively using for the past 5 years to playback all sorts of VHS tapes, they tend to track better than other brands, minus EP commercial releases.

The best part about JVC decks as practically any JVC VCR remote will work on that model, I have like one remote for 4 different JVC VCRs and it works on all 4.

That laserdisc/DVD combo player is quite a find, pretty rare given the limited window of time they were making them.
