This is the only surviving live footafe of the tragic standup comic Lenny Bruce.

Originally released a year after his death to theaters it enjoyed a rerelease in 1974 to coincide with United Artists' stunning Bob Fosse film-LENNY.

Looking at the footage here and then watching Dustin Hoffman-his performance was brilliant.

Trivia: Dustin Hoffman receive his third Oscar nomination in LENNY. The year he was nominated as Best Actor something occurred in his category that had never happened before or since. What was that?
