Additional Information
They were strangers on a strange island ... trying to survive supernatural powers they couldn't explain.

Love and courage conquer fear and superstition in a South Sea Island leper colony.

Young Randy (Robbie Rist) and his older brother Jeff Remington (Teen idol Bobby Sherman) survive a shipwreck off the coast of Hawaii, and once ashore find themselves in the midst of a leper colony run by saintly Brother Dalton (Keenan Wynn). Initially fearful and repulsed, the boys learn some lessons about the real meaning of brotherhood while helping the afflicted. Meanwhile real danger is just around the corner in the form of the dreaded Kahuna (Joaquin Martinez), who wants these Christian white devils off his island, especially since his daughter Luana (Kathy Paulo) is in love with Jeff. When he orders his minions to kidnap young Randy for sacrifice to an angry volcano, it's up to Randy and Luana race to the rescue. Director Edward Dmytryk (THE CAINE MUTINY) made this near the end of his career, but still manages to lend the film some of his wry sociological touches, and the Kauai scenery is lovely. Bobby Sherman fans will especially want to pursue this relic of the teen sensation's heyday, as will anyone with fond memories of the plethora of castaway movies that were big with kids at the time.
