Additional Information
This 1973 Italian sex comedy wasnt released in the U.S. until 1976. It became an arthouse hit for distributor In-Frame films -a company known for releasing dubbed martial arts films (MASTER OF THE FLING GUILLOTINE was one). It proved so popular the distributor took a chance and opened it wide-even in drive-ins , in a dubbed version.

CBS/FOX had released some Italian films on vhs such as THE SENSUOUS NURSE and BLOOD FEUD among others.

The female star of HOW FUNNY CAN SEX BE? shot to stardom in America as a frequently nude sex symbol. 1979 saw the releases of THE INNOCENT , WIFEMISTRESS , MALIZIA , TIL MARTRIAGE DO US PART and THE DIVINE NYMPH -all arthouse hits.

Trivia: 1976 saw two firsts at the Oscars. Italy was represented in the Best Foreign language category for a particular film that not only gathered 4 Oscar nominations, but one of its nominations was the first of its kind ever and did not happen again for 17 years and only happened again one more time after that. The 3rd time was a charm because the person won. What was the first in the nominations? Who was the recipient? Who were the other 2 nominees and the winner in this category? The second first time happening at the 1976 Oscars saw three foreign language nominees in the acting categories. But for the first time 2 were in the same category. Who were they?
