Paramount had great success with MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS on vhs. This was one of the titles Paramount licensed to Fotomat in their 70s experiment where they rented videos through their kiosks. A blueprint, sort of, for Redbox today.
The vhs was reissued many times, always in a 2 tape setup such as this to fully do justice to its over 2 and half hour running time.
This was on many critics year end 10 Best lists and has a rare 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Trivia: Paramount licensed two films to Fotomat on vhs that have never been rereleased in any format again. Both are from the 70s and one in particular is much soughtafter. The first is a nostalgia piece starring a son of a legendary actor who in real life died tragically. The second is a musical film. Name these two films?
What childrens film was the first vhs released by Paramount through fotomat?
Which actor, recently deceased, and best known for playing a foil in a series of films, appeared in two Agatha Christie adaptations but as different characters?
Name these Christie films from their poster taglines:
A) The who's next whodunnit
B) Evil is Everywhere. Even in Paradise.
C) Trapped in a world where death is not the end!
D) The only thing that could follow Murder is Death
E) WE DARE YOU TO GUESS!
F) Once the murder was solved, the real mystery began...
