Additional Information
I always laugh when people complain to me that a 3D Bluray with tons of extras and the best picture and sound quality you can get is way too expensive at $29.99. Embassy Home Videos release nearly 30 years ago of an obscure Australian movie on V-H-S cost a whopping $59.95. No extras. Poor picture and sound quality. And no 3D FOR DOUBLE THE PRICE!
Barely released in the U.S. except at film festivals or niche markets, SUNDAY TOO FAR AWAY was one of Australia's top critical darlings-garnering many awards. In the early 80s Australia's film market boomed . With the success of PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK, THE LAST WAVE and especially MAD MAX at the tail end of the 70s, U.S. video distributors starving for product gobbled them up , paving thee way for films made by Australian directors in the U.S.
