The man got down...the brothers were ready... You must see it! It's a mother!

Billy Dee Williams...Badder than ever!

It'll blow you away!

Williams is a black youth, increasingly frustrated by racism, who finally goes over the edge into radicalism when he is turned down for a job that is given to a less qualified white man. Under the influence of some white radicals, he becomes convinced that violent revolution is the solution. He joins with St. Jacques and Martin in a plan to rise up against the police; but when white and black alike fail to support the revolt, it collapses, and the men are cornered in an alley where a bloody shootout claims the lives of them all, as well as a goodly number of police lives. Director Williams received a grant from the American Film Institute for this debut feature, a mediocre piece that seldom rises above its unimaginative direction and soap-operatic plot to talk about the issues at the heart of the film.
