I've been watching/buying/collecting VHS since the late '80s. Horror has always been a favorite genre of mine since I was little, but after a VHS "double feature night" back in 1986, which included George Romero's DAWN OF THE DEAD and Joe D'Amato's BURIED ALIVE, I became a diehard fan of the genre - especially splatter, zombies, and Italian flicks. I quickly joined all the local "mom n pop" video stores in my somewhat small city and scoured them on a regular basis for years...until the corporate "Blockbuster Slasher" came along and killed off all the "mom n pops" one-by-one.
