Gorgon Video was originally a sub-label created by MPI for their shock titles, particularly, the first home video release of Faces of Death. Although the shockumentary series did well for MPI, they chose to sell the Gorgon Video label and its catalog in the 90s due to controversy. Titles released after the sell off have a "GV" before their catalog number, as opposed to the "MP".
